Training Activities and Games

Here are two more reasons why we should use training activities and game:

9. Eurogames are changing the way we play board games. A new type of board games, called Eurogames, de-emphasize chance factors. Competition in these games is indirect and involves collecting resources. All players are actively engaged throughout the game and no player is eliminated. We can use the Eurogame approach for designing effective training games.

10. Everyone recognizes the advantages of active learning. Cognitive scientists and learning theorists have persuaded trainers that passive strategies do not produce effective results. Current research suggests that anything that can be – and should be – taught through active learning approaches.
