Multiple Answers

Here’s a virtual classroom brainstorming activity that also gives the participants an opportunity to think spontaneously.

1. Display all participants on the screen. Ask the participants to take turns to raise their hand and say their name.

2. Announce a category relevant to your training topic. (Example: Words that make customers happy)

3. Say the name of a randomly selected participant.

4. Ask the selected participant to unmute themselves and say words (or phrases) that belong to the category. (Examples: If the category is “Thank you for your business”, here are suggested responses: “How can we fix your problem”’ “Here’s what we can do…”, “I am sorry this happened…”).

4. After saying the word, ask the participant to call out the name of some other participant. Repeat the activity as before.

5. Continue the activity for about 5 minutes.

6. From time to time, get the participants’ attention and change the category. (Examples: ideas to attract new customers, words or phrases to calm a customer, words or phrases that describe benefits of our products.)

7. Ask the participants to come up with their own questions related to the training topic. Treat these questions just like previous ones.
