EDITOR: A New Email Game

WHAT IS THIS?

Did you ever end up with a large number of ideas after a brainstorming session and did not know how to evaluate them?

Dianne Hofner Saphiere and I are facing this problem as a result of facilitating an email game called "Intercultural Insights". We ended up with a collection of 130+ guidelines for working effectively with intercultural groups.

We now need your help to evaluate these guidelines. So we came up with a follow-up email game called EDITOR.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME?

You get to review several guidelines for improving your effectiveness in intercultural settings.

You use these guidelines to enhance your professional activities.

You have fun playing the role of a powerful editor.

You master an email game procedure that you can use with your group for evaluating your own content. (You can even play this game with a face-to-face group.)

WHAT DO I DO?

You do some role-playing. You pretend to be the editor of a newsletter that publishes practical tips for consultants. You receive email submissions from "authors". Your job is review each submission and make publication decisions.

When we receive your registration, we will send you the first set of guidelines for your editorial review. After we receive your response, we will continue this process, sending a total of five sets of guidelines. In the end, we will post all the top-rated guidelines.
